Great for confined spaces
Don't use it regularly to cut pipe, though. If you need to make many cuts, use the cutter with the large handle. This one will tire your hand and is almos counterproductive to use for many cuts. It's good on single cuts in installed pipes where you don't have enough room to maneuver.A hacksaw will be easier to use and less tiring than using this cutter. Have some mercy on your wrists.However, I do recommend it for cutting galvanized pipe, which has a rather thick wall.

Fantastic Tool
As a novice plumber who bought this tool for home plumbing needs, I'm extremely happy with this tool. It was a life saver, fitting into tight spaces and never failed to make a perfectly clean cut. I would HIGHLY recommend the optional add-on piece that Rigid makes which includes a ratchetind handle that this piece fits into. The pair were worth the weight in gold when working under the house! One of my best tool purchases recently...

Perfection
I just did a major plumbing overhaul with this little guy, and I was seriously happy I made the purchase, rather than continuing to use a friend's generic, large cutter. In fact, I didn't want to use the larger cutter for any of the cuts, even where I had plenty of room; this was more than satisfactory for all my 1/2" and 3/4" copper plumbing needs.This came smaller than I expected, was small enough to do everything I needed it to do, and still provided enough leverage. Very nice feel to it because it's very well made.
