Hook your manifold gauge set onto the lines and then the vacuum pump on the gauge set. Do you mean the condensing coil (in front of the radiator) or expansion coil (cooling coil). The first things you'll need to have handy when you start are a manifold gauge set for R-134 and a vacuum pump. The disconnect tool is a sort of clamp that goes around the line and slides down to release the springs holding the line together. Shut the valves on the gauges and the pump off and let it sit for an hour or so. If the vacuum reading didn't change, add your refrigerant. It will speed up the evaporation of the refrigerant and it will go in quicker. You'll need some new O rings, a bit of a/c oil and a disconnect tool. Pour about an ounce of refrigerant oil in a clean cup and dip the new O rings in it to lubricate them so they don't tear while being installed.
