Monroe 90002 kit not right for Mark VIII
Monroe 90002 kit not right for Mark VIII Sounds like the person who gave it 1 star, is a bit too picky. When replacing an air bag system that is collapsed at least the Mark III is only 3" off the ground at its lowest point. I personally feel that 23.75 is well within the factory limits for the front when a + or - is factored in. As far as the back is concerned 26.75 might be a little out of range however Load The Trunk For A Trip and the vehicle would level out rather then giving a reverse lift if they were actually at 24.25. I have installed it on my Wife's Mark VIII and it improved the ride expecially on curves and makes it look sporty This is my opinion and I stick to it!!!!! Top to learn more

perfect fit
03 4x4 navigator. Bad passenger side height sensor at 130k miles, mechanic wanted $800 to fix! Had the mechanic do this conversion instead and saved future headaches with the air ride suspension. Cost $681 shipped for the conversion and about $200 to get it installed. I like not having to hear the air compressor go off when I start up the navigator and the ride feels exactly the same and ride height is the same. A+

Arnott hits it on the head!
My package arrived several days before the expected date. After having a local shop install the coil spring conversion kit on my 2003 Lincoln Navigator for $325.00 my car was finally drivable again! Thank you Arnott. After almost two years of the front passenger airbag pumping up and deflating, sensors acting up, replacing solenoids, and pulling out my hair, I bit the bullet and decided enough was enough. Don't give the dealerships anymore of your money, this product means that you can just switch off the air suspension system button in the rear of the vehicle, and drive your SUV like it was meant to be driven. The coil suspension is well built, heavy duty and I have abused it a few times already and still haven't bottomed out the suspension. The ride is smooth, barely a noticeable difference in ride (it has been a while since the air suspension worked on my vehicle). The suspension handles successive rolls or dips while off-roading with ease. The ride height is slightly higher in the...

Very Satisfied
Bought this kit in June 2011. Even though the instructions were a little brief the install was very straight forward. I would highly recommend any one wishing to swap out their air suspension, perform some research on the web, even review the instruction/videos on other similar products, to gain a full understanding of what is needed. I do not consider myself a mechanics by any means, but after a little research, a couple of tools and soliciting aid from a helper, I was able to switch out my suspension on my '03 Navigator in about 5-hours.Now after ~8,000 miles, my Navi rides very comfortably with no ill affects. The product description states it keeps the vehicle at optimum factory height, though for my preference, I wish the suspension could have been and inch or two higher.Although this produce is pricey, those looking at this kit probably already know how expensive it is to maintain and fix an ailing Ford/Lincoln air suspension. For me, it was my...

Installed in a 2000 Lincoln Twn Cr
This IS a PAIR of springs(comes with rubber spring cups too) and they can be used to replace your stock air-suspension! My install went quickly and all I needed were jack stands, a nice hydro jack, deep 19mm socket with wrench and vice-grips for shock bolt nuts, a knife to cut the old bags out, liquid wrench to loosen shock mount bolts, a tire iron for wheel removal, and a bud to help out. Should only take you a couple hours to install. The result is a great ride that I preffer to the air-suspension. Feels more solid than the squishy bags. Stance is also good. I don't know about the sets that certain companys sell for almost three hundred dollars, but I do now know that this is all you need for a direct replacement to your air-suspension. Great price here on Amazon (cheaper than auto-parts stores) and Amazon Prime makes it even better. Top to learn more
Cheap fix for bad air bag system!
I have a 1996 Lincoln Town Car and the air suspension went bad. For hundreds less than diagnosis and replacement part prices, I pick these up and installed them myself. They replace the air bags and make it like every other car on the road. :) The ride quality is great with these. Doesn't really feel much different than the air bags. The springs come with instructions that also explain how to disable the electronics of the air system including the warning light in the dash. They also come with rubber mounts for both the top and bottom of the springs, this prevents metal on metal so that corrosion/rust and noise are not an issue. Installing these yourself can be a bit of a challenge depending on the tools available and skill level. I did it on the ground with the back of the car held up with jack stands, so I had to lay on my back and work on things right in front of my face. Getting the old air bags out was not too hard, but took some time and internet... Top to learn more
Affordable Alternative for Lincoln Owners
The MOOG CC-865 variable rate springs are an excellent alternative to repairing Air Springs and Compressors on Lincoln Town Cars. I have owned 2 Lincoln TownCars and have replaced Air Springs on one and now my present lincoln needed both. After care research on sites such as Amazon and Advance Auto Parts, I was convinced to do the swap and save money. The variable rate springs give a very comparable ride quality to the OEM Air Springs and are a one time install and will never need repairs. A good investment as well would be to purchase Gabriel OEM shocks at the advice of my mechanic. The springs and shocks will run you about $140 max pending on where you purchase them and about $120 in labor charges by a competent shop. I was very skeptical at losing the Lincoln ride quality since I stay on the road alot but this is an affordable and permanent fix. I would recommend it to any of the owners 1990-97 Lincoln family of vehicles. Glad I made the conversion. Top to learn more
