ASSEMBLY: First you have to attach the high pressure grease hose to the head of the gun, making sure you use the supplied copper gasket before tightening down. Then, you have to attach your inlet coupler to the bottom of the handle, making sure that you use teflon plumbers tape on the coupler threads.INSTALLING GREASE CARTRIDGES: First, remove the pump head from the grease cylinder. Second, pull the grease loader (Also called follower) all the way back and then lock it into place. The side which has the simple pull off cap, that end goes into the grease cylinder. Then you pull off the sardine like lid, and then screw down the pump head onto the grease cylinder. Then you release the grease loader.PRIMING: Every time you install a new grease cartridge, you have to prime the gun. Above the Mark.
I have seen reviews that complain about different things being wrong with certain products. This is my first Lincoln Grease Gun. I have had several generic guns but they seem to fail after a short time. This Gun is outstanding. I had to replace the quick disconnect because the one that came with the gun was not the same as the one I used(Just took it off the old Gun). Put the hose on the gun and tighten the fittings, add your grease and your in business. The 2ft hose is great for those hard to reach places. I was supprised to find this gun works automatic. Pull the trigger and it pumps grease until you release it. Very happy with this purchase.

Lincoln 1162 air operated grease gun
Lincoln really improved this model over the previous #1163 gun. This one loads the same but has a hand operated bleed off to get rid of air in the gun after replacing the grease cartridge. Additionally the path of the grease does not go through the spring loaded check valve which was a problem with the former model. I have not had any problems with the 1162 so far and I really like it.

Great Product.
This product is great. The last Lincoln grease gun was 13 years old, and it finally broke. The only problem we run into is the casters are not big enough, but this is just our application. We installed bigger casters. We use this product daily, at a Caterpillar dealership, so it gets tested very well. Would recommend.

The perfect add on for those hauling heavy loads, works incredibly well. Installation took about 3 hours. That being said, I know my way around pretty well in the garage. If you are not very mechanically enclined I would suggest a professional install.

Quality Greese Gun.
I'm glad I bought this grease gun. I've used 3 cartridges so far, and this gun looks and feels like it will last for many years. The 1134's cast metal head appears to be an improvement on other models, as there's less exposed moving parts that can get fouled with grease/dirt. IMHO the rigid pipe is a "throw away", as the rubber hose assembly works in more places. I also splurged and bought two (wall mounting) grease gun clamps (Lincoln Brand) for my 2 Grease guns. These Lincoln brand clamps do hold the guns securely,and hold the guns about an inch from the mounting surface, which is good for getting less grease on the garage wall. I mounted the Grease gun clamps on short lengths of 2X6 wood stock, and added a flat board (1" stock) to the bottom of the 2X6 piece,to act as a 'grease drip tray'. Two Lag bolts attach the 2X6 to the wall stud in my garage and "Voila", I've got the guns ready to go,up off the floor, and at much less risk of breaking a hose due to being stepped on. In any...

I just purchased this model and it is excellent.As noted by others it is made in India. The hose is made in Germany. The product is very well made and obviously well engineered. I do not feel the countries of origin are at all an issue in that the product is being manufactured to a visibly high standard.I did initially have issue with the coupler as others had stated and I wanted to make clear to everyone that once it becomes clear how the coupler works, it is a very good coupler. To note: I've never seen a coupler like this before.As someone else did note, but I feel not as clearly as some may require, the coupler is in fact two pieces and you must loosen the pieces to allow the coupler room to engage and even lock the coupler onto a zerk.The knurled (etched/ridged/hash patterned) area can simply be held with pliers while a wrench is used to loosen the female treaded 1/8" NPT. Coupler Warning
I bought an 1134 from Amazon and it is not Made In USA. On to the coupler... there is nothing in the user manual about how it works. And good luck getting any help from Lincoln! The coupler knurled section is tightened for shipping and you need to break it loose before you use it. It will go on and pull off the zerk until you pump grease and then it will not let go until you back off the knurled section. Don't try it on a zerk that is in a pocket that prevents you from getting your fingers on the knurled section or you may never get it off the zerk. When you have the coupler on a zerk as you rotate the knurled section you can feel the change in how it grips the zerk from locked on to loose and removable. This feature? may be nice because you don't have to hold it on to the zerk and it will allow very high pressure. But if you need to use it in an area like a U-joint with a zerk that is deep in the spider, and you can't get to the knurled section of the coupler,...

Air Lift
I have a 2002 work van that carries some weight. I decided to go with air shocks to help level the ride, but I did not want to deal with having to fill the shocks anytime I needed to load the van. I decided to look around for an air lift system that would use an on-board compressor to add the needed air.I found the part while on Rock Auto. Their price was over $185.00. So I decided I should be able to find it for less money and I was right. Here on Amazon the price was $135 and shipping was free.The kit arrived with all the tubing, fittings, and the control and compressor. The manufacturer claims that it will fit ANY air shock system, which also prompted me to buy it.Before installing the system with the air shocks I purchased from Delco, I decided to see if everything fit. Away went the bounce.
I ordered the on board compressor and a set of Air Lift bags for my Chevy 2500hd to see if it would help when braking while pulling my 36ft fifth wheel, when aired up properly the bounce is gone when I apply my camper brakes and they even help level out some rough roads (not all though). If you install them yourself and you are wallowing around on the garage you will spend 4+ hours on the air bags and at least that much time on mounting the compressor and electrical, without some good help. But still saved $300.00 doing it myself.
