Well thought out and well executed design
This is the set you want. Why? Here are some reasons. Some are about Stainless steel cookware in general, but all apply specifically to this set.o Stainless steel is sanitary. You can get them perfectly clean very easily. (Commercial food processors are often required to use stainless steel for nearly everything that comes in contact with food.)o Stainless steel cleans up nearly as easily non-stick cookware. You do clean it differently, however.o These pans have an aluminum core wrapped on both sides by stainless steel. Stainless steel does not transmit heat quickly but aluminum does. Aluminum is soft and dents easily, stainless steel is hard and strong. This means you get the toughness of stainless steel with the even heat distribution of aluminum.o Even heat distribution and rapid heating allows you use lower heat setting thus saving energy and reducing the chance of burning food.o Handles stay fairly cool,... You can pay more, but you can't buy better!
For those of you considering upgrading your cookware to professional grade stainless steel, look no further.I've owned this 12 piece set for over a year, and can't offer enough praise. It still looks brand new (use Barkeepers Friend to clean it). It heats evenly and quickly, retains heat for a long time, sears and browns well without burning, handles comfortably, cleans up easily and looks great! I'm fortunate enough to have several different types of cookware to compare. My cookware includes: All-Clad, JC Penny Elite (5 ply Copper Core), Chefmate tri-ply, Hard Anodized non-stick and Cuisinart Tri-Ply Copper.In my opinion, the All-Clad Stainless Steel line is much overated. Its great cookware, but has no rolled edges for easy pouring without making a mess, and I prefer the handles on just about any other brand. ...with the right pot.When I was checking into buying more high-quality cookware a few years ago, I was totally sold on AllClad, but then a friend of mine whose job at the time was to test kitchen cookware (if you can believe that!) told me I should check out Cuisinart's MultiClad line instead. Turns out it's had the same features (and add-ons) as the AllClad I was so in love with (stainless steel wrapped around an aluminum core), but without the major price tag that comes with the "AllClad" name.So I got the Cuisinart line and absolutely have loved it ever since - I've even been adding to my collection every year or so.As far as comparing it to nonstick cookware...well, I still have some nonstick pieces, but I don't use them much - a little bit of Pam Cooking Spray, and I haven't had any trouble. Amazing cookware, Never Knew It Could Be This GOOD!
Over the years I have used a variety of cookware--aluminum bottomed stainless Revere Ware, Magnalite Professional, Calphalon, Calphalon Professional NonStick. When I finally had to throw out the last of my tattered collection, I started to look for some stainless cookware that would stand the test of time and offer performance to boot. I decided to splurge on this All-Clad Copper Core.One of the pieces I recieved was this 2-Quart saucepan. What a workhorse this one is! Rice to soup to gravy, it gets used!Delighted to report that I am THRILLED with this expensive splurge! All-Clad is NOT about expensive hype and status, those these pans are beautifully made, instead they do everything cookware should, and have literally changed the way I cook. Coppercore
I at first thought Coppercore was just a gimmick, with the gratuitous rim of exposed copper around the base, but I was wrong--this line is great: much heavier than their other lines, and, for what it's worth, attractive too. I have, at great expense, gotten two more of their pots.

Perfect size for everyday use
Not too big, not too small, it's just right for eveything from heating upsoup to whipping up a ganache for dessert. Loop handle is a nice touch.If you're like me and use only a few "good" pots and pans to perform abroad range of duties, then this saucepan should be on your short list.The fact All Clad warranties it for life is icing (ganache) on the cake.

All-Clad Stainless 3-Quart Saucepan - My Favorite Pan!
I love this pan so much I bought 2! The 3 quart saucepan is a perfect size, I use it at least once a day. It is excellent for boiling potatoes, squash, a pound of penne, sauce, reheating some sauce and meatballs etc. It is my favorite of all my All Clad pans. It is made very well, is easy to clean, heats evenly and is designed to last. All Clad cookware is one of the most expensive lines around and it is worth every penny, it really is lifetime cookware. This saucepan is a definite must have. Very, very highly recommended! A+++!Also, if you should get something stuck to the stainless steel use a product called "Bar Keepers Friend" to clean it. Most supermarkets have it and Kitchen Etc. and Bed, Bath and Beyond carry it too. The container (like a Comet can) is gold with blue and white writing. It Goes The Distance...
I have had stainless all-clad products ever since husband #2 (a professional chef) and will use nothing else. The three quart is extremely versatile, especially if you also have the steamer insert. My all-clad saucepans are over 10 years old, but look as good as new and cook incredibly evenly on both gas and electric ranges. I never need to use a potholder, which is very convenient. If you use the good stuff, you only need a few saucepans and you will literally NEVER have to replace them. Top to learn more

I've been using this pan for 15 years.
This has been my favorite pan for 15 years, and my wife and I both cook a lot. About 10 years ago we got tired of handwashing things, so we've been putting these in the dishwasher since then.It distributes heat well, and the handle stays cool. I've been using All-Clad so long that when I recently used another brand whose handle got hot I practically dropped it in shock. A warm handle? Is that possible?I can tell that this pan is not new anymore. It has very faint spots about the size of a pencil-eraser on the inside surface.Based on my experience, this pot will last for at least 50 years and maybe 100.There may be other cookware this good, but I don't see how there could be any that's better. Was weary of SS cookware but, Love these!!!
When we noticed our non-stick pans were losing their non-stick (into ours and our childrens food) we decided it was time to look at the alternative to teflon and non-stick coating. We waffled over whether to go cast iron or stainless. I was worried about cooking with stainless because of the sticking issue but decided to bite the bullet and went ahead and purchased these. I have to say, we LOVE them! My husband is able to make the most amazing omelettes without leaving half of it behind. I haven't had much trouble with sticking at all. Scrambled eggs and hash browns seem to be the worst so far and with 15 mins of soaking the pans in water I am able to just scrub them clean with my nylon scrubby sponge. They are tough and durable and seem to put up with alot of use. We aren't occasional cookers, as a family of five these pots and pans get used daily. The price is right but dont let it fool you! Very Sastified
I did a bunch of research before buying new pots and pans. The reviews I read on this set made me believe that it was the best value for the money. The set arrived in beautiful condition and has remained that way with a good hand washing and drying.The negatives I saw in the reviews here were that things were sticking and the handles got hot. I have not had a problem with either. In my opinion and from my experience the people who had food stick to the pans need to alter their cooking methods. Non-stick cookware, aside from not lasting very long and being dangerous to your health, has removed oils and butter from many peoples recipies. As for the handles getting hot, you need to use a burner that is equal to or smaller in size than the bottom of the cookware. I use the proper size burners and even when cooking at high temperatures my handles stay cool to the touch.Hopefully this helps. Top to learn more

Great product at a SUPER GREAT PRICE!!!!
I have wanted copper-lined pots and pans for years, but I could not bring myself to drop the big bucks! I found these on Amazon and thought I would give them a try.... I AM SO HAPPY I DID! I am not a super crazy cook, I cook a few times a week. These are just right for people like me! They clean up super easy, they are as shiny as the day I bought them, I even have used a metal fork to stir (I know, not good move!) but they are completely scratch free!!! And they heat up quickly and evenly throughout the whole pan ( not just in the middle like cheap ones do!). I say give them a try! Why drop $500 when you can get a great product for way less??? Excellent Stock Pot and Amazing Value!
Ok, this is obviously not the same as the traditional All Clad stock pots, if it was it would be more then triple the price of this one without the 2 inserts. It is part of the disk bottom collection, however it is still top quality stainless steel and very well made. I certainly would not consider it secondary. It is a little lighter in weight than the traditional All Clad but it is not a light weight pot by any means. It is great for pasta, soup, stew, steaming veggies, etc. You will love it and you can't beat the price. It is very easy to clean and the inserts can be stacked and stored inside. A+Tip: If you should get something stuck to the stainless steel use a product called "Bar Keepers Friend" to clean it. Most supermarkets have it and Kitchen Etc. and Bed, Bath and Beyond carry it too. The container (like a Comet can) is gold with blue and white writing. Cleaning Instructions For daily cleaning, warm soapy water is sufficient. Clean your All-Clad thoroughly after each use. Food films left of the pan may cause discoloration and sticking. To get rid of stuck-on food or discoloration and stains from using too high of a heat, we recommend cleaning your All-Clad with a product called Bar Keeper’s Friend. To use the Bar Keeper’s Friend, simply use a soft cloth or sponge and water and make into a soupy paste. This can be used on the interior, as well as the exterior of your All-Clad (excluding the Cop-R-Chef). The Bar Keeper’s Friend can also be used on the exterior of the All-Clad Stainless collection, LTD collection, and MC2 collection. For cleaning of the Cop-R-Chef exterior, simply use a brass/copper cleaner. If your water has a high iron content, you may notice a rusty discoloration. Use Bar Keeper’s Friend to remove it.

Great value but a different kind of All-Clad
This is an incredible value, considering you get the lid, the pot, and the two baskets at a great price. It performs very well and is a welcome addition to an All-Clad set. However, it is not the same quality as the rest of my All-Clad's. As an example, the lid is made of the same type of steel as my other lids, however, it is thinner. Top to learn more

Don't be fooled!
This is a good product, but not what I was expecting when I ordered it. Don't be fooled, this stockpot is not from the regular line of Stainless products by All-Clad. It's from a lesser-quality line of products. The walls are thinner and it just seems to be of less overall quality than the regular All-Clad products (which are fantastic in my opinion!) Mounted on the bottom of the pan is another piece of metal for conduction (totally unlike regular All-Clad, but just like Emerilware). For the price it is a good product, but if you want true All-Clad quality hold out for the more expensive version. Top to learn more

A Small Sensation!
I own several pieces from the Copper Core line, and bought this piece simply because I found an incredible price on it. I didn't expect to use it often, as I tend to reach for my small saucepans; I just thought this saucier was just too small for much of anything. But I have surprised myself with this one! I have melted chocolate, made small batches of glazes, a cooked vinaigrette, and always use it now for my reduction for blender bernaise. It comes in handy more than I expected, and the long handle is especially convenient (and not typical) on cookware of this size. It is quickly becoming a favorite piece. And like my other AC Copper Core, it heats beautifully and evenly on low to medium heat, and is a delight to cook with.Don't hesitate if you are wondering about the size - you will find many uses and love this little gem. Excellent pan; couple quirks
I'm not 100% convinced that the copper core is worth the premium price tag when the aluminum core Master Chef line performs about as admirably in terms of evenness of heating, but this one was in stock and the other one wasn't, so the choice was simple.It's a tiny little guy, but a solid performer. It came up to temperature quickly, and my infrared thermometer showed the sides staying within 5-10 degrees of the bottom at all times with no significant hot or cold spots anywhere. I elected to prepare a very simple dish--Farina with coconut milk and palm sugar--for its maiden voyage, and it cooked well without any scorching at all. I actually had a hard time telling when it was done because of the complete absence of bubbles--something I'm used to seeing with my old pan which has hot spots a'plenty.Some people have complained that All-Clad's 1-quart sauciers are off balance and easy to tip. Other All-Clad lids DO NOT fit
They make it clear that this one does not come with a lid, but I would have never guessed that none of their other lids would fit. I have both the 6" stainless lid and the 6-1/2" copper core lid and neither fits. The 6-1/2" that comes with their small copper core saucepans comes closest, buth the shape of the lip (and 1/2" larger pan diameter) make it a precarious balance. Otherwise a very nice pan. I also find the copper core handle with the added bump on the bottom to be a lot more comfortable than their stainless handles. Top to learn more
